The closing ceremony of XXI International Festival of Children's Competition «Childern of the East are friends», thought the presidential program «Jetkinchek» held in the Cultural Center «Rukh Ordo» named after Aytmatov on June 29, 2009
About 500 children from more than 25 creative groups from Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the festival. Kyrgyzstan was presented at the festival with a number of well-known collectives, such as folk-exemplary ensembles «Shattyk», «Zhash kiyal», «Smile», «Baichechek» and others.
As the organizers noted, the festival's goal is the movement of the East people cultures, the strengthening of cooperation and friendship between talented young people. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Center for Childhood and Youth «Seytek»
